Cleveland & Austin Wedding Photographer — Nathan Migal Photography
Just a little information about me and some FAQ’s…
I photograph weddings in Cleveland and Austin/Hill Country, creating images that feel like the day actually felt—quiet looks, big laughter, and everything between. My approach is documentary and relaxed: I plan well, read the room, and keep portraits quick so you can stay with your guests. If this sounds like you, the next step is simple: Contact me and we’ll start a plan that fits your timeline, light, and venues.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is your photography style?
My approach is documentary at heart with a refined editorial touch. I focus on capturing real moments as they unfold while also stepping in when needed to guide portraits with intention, great light, and thoughtful composition. The goal is images that feel honest, timeless, and true to how your wedding day actually felt.
Do you pose couples or keep things candid?
It’s a balance. Most of the day is captured candidly as moments naturally happen. During portraits and family photos, I offer gentle direction so you feel comfortable and look your best without anything feeling stiff or forced. You’ll never be left wondering what to do, but you also won’t feel overly posed.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am currently based in Austin, Texas and photograph weddings throughout the Texas Hill Country and beyond. I will be relocating to Cleveland, Ohio by the summer of 2026 and will be serving couples there as well. I regularly travel for weddings and am available for destination celebrations both within the U.S. and internationally.
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book anywhere from 9 to 15 months in advance, especially for popular spring and fall dates. That said, I occasionally have availability for shorter timelines, so it’s always worth reaching out to check.
What is included in your wedding photography packages?
All wedding collections include full day coverage options, professionally edited high resolution images, an online gallery for downloading and sharing, and guidance throughout the planning process. Engagement sessions, film photography, albums, and additional coverage can be added based on what matters most to you.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes, and I highly recommend them. Engagement sessions are a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera and to see how I work before the wedding day. They also give you images you can use for save the dates, your wedding website, or simply to document this season of life.
How many photos will we receive?
Every wedding is different, but most couples receive between 600 and 900 fully edited images depending on coverage length and the flow of the day. I focus on quality and storytelling rather than delivering duplicates or filler images.
How long does it take to receive our photos?
Wedding galleries are delivered within 6 to 8 weeks. Engagement sessions are typically delivered within 2 weeks. I know how excited you’ll be to see your photos, and I always aim to deliver sooner whenever possible without rushing the process.
Do you work with a second photographer?
A second photographer can be added depending on your coverage needs and wedding size. I’m happy to help you decide if having a second photographer would add meaningful value to your day.
Can we order albums or prints?
Absolutely. I believe your photos deserve to live beyond your screen. I offer heirloom quality wedding albums and professional prints designed to last for generations. I’ll guide you through the entire design process so it feels easy and collaborative.
How do we book you?
Booking starts with an inquiry through my contact form. From there we’ll set up a call to talk through your plans, your priorities, and make sure we’re a great fit. A signed contract and retainer officially reserve your date.
What if we’re camera shy?
You’re not alone, and it’s completely okay. Most of my couples say this before their session and leave feeling surprised by how natural it felt. My job is to create an environment where you can relax, be yourselves, and trust that I’ve got you covered.
