A journalistic approach to documenting...

So basically this is how it works...

I show up, capture moments throughout the day, facilitate portraits along the way, and party with you guys until the night ends!

Okay its not quite that simple, but that's the gist of it.

Weddings are monumental occasions whether you have 5 or 500 guests. The vows are sacred, the emotions are real, and love flows abundantly.  Friends and families are united and laughter and joy come to light. .

I always encourage a portrait when the timing is right. Portraits don't require hours upon hours... but sometimes we have extra time and we take field trips to beautiful locations. Its not necessary, but it can actually be fun and relaxing if we play our cards right.

With the exception of the portraits, I strive to shoot without interfering as much as possible . I try to allow space for people to experience their wedding day in their own way... and I snap photos along the way.

Less perfection, more authenticity.

Whether its Cleveland, Akron, Youngstown, or Sandusky- Northeast Ohio is my stomping ground. I have photographed over 400 weddings in Northeast Ohio alone so I have plenty of great recommendations for locations, venues, and vendors around here.

Working with Nathan for our wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico was an amazing experience.  He captured the week perfectly.  The 40 guests who made the trip with us consider Nathan family now.  He was a true professional.  You could see him planning shots and backdrops days in advance.  He got to know everyone on a personal level and that makes a huge difference when catching the right moment on camera.  We still get compliments weekly on how great the photos came out.

Nathan was a pleasure to work with on our wedding day. On the day of our wedding he struck a perfect balance between being assertive, organized, calming, humorous, light-hearted, inspirational, professional, and personal. We were so happy with how our photographs turned out!

What's incredible about Nathan is that his character & adaptability are equally as impressive as his unique talent behind the lens. His ability to befriend his subjects and blend into the crowd is amazing, as is his fascination with travel and world culture. It also helps that he very genuinely loves what he does, the people he meets, and will tackle any proposal for adventure. True story: He even went whale shark diving with me days before shooting our wedding, without hesitation (#vomsquad)! Nathan undoubtedly has a passion for identifying compelling stories among social groups and capturing them... moment by moment, frame by frame. We're beyond grateful for the mind-blowing results of his work during our destination wedding on a tiny, charming island in Mexico, as well as his gracious attendance as an honored guest at our Ohio "home" reception. We're very proud to call him a friend, and will absolutely recommend him every opportunity we get; we can only hope others are so lucky to have him. Thanks again, Nate, you're truly the best.
