I didn't know what to expect when I showed up the the Michelle + Brian's rehearsal dinner last Friday. Most of the time I get a chance to meet our couples before the wedding day, but they live in Chicago so we never got a chance to sit down beforehand. I was excited going into the wedding because I knew the reason they booked us was because of our photojournalist style, and my favorite weddings are the ones where the bride and groom truly trust me to do what I do best! Michelle found me through an organization called the WPJA-Wedding Photojournalist Association. I have been a part of the WPJA for the past 3 years now. I arrived at Brian's parent's house for the rehearsal dinner on Friday and instantly felt right at home with them! They were SO laid back! I remember Michelle saying, "Just do your thing, we love the candid stuff!"
The next day I arrived at Kirtland Country Club for the wedding (they had both the wedding ceremony and wedding reception all at Kirtland C.C. that day), and everyone was just so relaxed it was amazing! The bride looked stunning, the weather was perfect(maybe a little hot), and everything came together flawlessly. I had an awesome time getting to know Michelle + Brian and I am so grateful that I got to be a part of their wedding day.
